Before the era of the internet, I specialised in product catalogues. I was responsible for every step of the process, from conception to delivery. This included photography, design, pre-press and supervising the print. Today, instead of catalogues we have e-commerce. The progres of the graphic design world travels at breakneck speed, and designers need to keep up.

Krakow has been a capital of hand-made glass Chtistmas ornament for many years. They are exported to every corner of the world, with the greatest market in the US. I worked with two ornament producers, designing and printing ornament catalogues.

In the 90s, Photoshop effects were all the rage. This sports gear catalogue is a good example of this trend.

The jackets were displayed in the real-world vibrant colours by cutting them out of a black background. This way, they remain noticeable despite the many elements present on the page.

Minimalist, geometric designs came into fashion over the following decade. The marble tile catalogue, below, is a good example.

The vertical and horizontal lines add the impression of order to the pictured tiles and underline the neat arrangement of the marble squares.
